About MAZARO
Innovative driveline engineering
MAZARO is an automotive engineering company that invented and patented an entirely new transmission technology for a broad range of vehicles, auxiliaries and industrial applications.
MAZARO’s objective is to study and optimize the whole driveline for the typical driving cycles of the vehicles or the industrial application.
Our activities
Our activities concentrate on making the driveline solutions production-ready for specific applications, customized or generic, comprising the application study, design, calculation, prototyping and testing of the transmission.
This involves defining the full physical models of the transmission, life calculations of the components, energy consumption simulations, subsystem life testing, functional, performance and life testing of the whole transmission.
MAZARO has built up good relationships with organizations able to test complete vehicles on rollers and on test tracks.
We can rely on 25 years of experience in transmission design and development. MAZARO has developed subsystems, components, we have selected sensors and buy parts to be integrated in our new designs and we continuously improve our products by developing new solutions.
Production, assembly, distribution and aftermarket is taken care of by partner companies having the organization for manufacturing the requested volumes and which are located close to the OEM’s. Alternatively, the OEM gets the opportunity to receive a license for producing the transmission in-house.
The founders
Filip De Mazière is the inventor of MAZARO’s technology, co-founder and director of MAZARO. He has been designing transmissions and clutches for over 25 years for major manufacturers of high-end sports cars, passenger cars, off-highway vehicles and material handling equipment.
F. De Mazière holds a Master Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Ghent Belgium 1987) and initiated several patents for automatic transmissions, DCTs and off-highway power shifts some of which are in production since the nineties.
Caroline De Dijcker, co-founder and marketing officer of MAZARO nv graduated from the University of Ghent (Belgium) in 1986 at the faculty of Germanic philology and later from the Vlerick Business School.
